Verses with God's promises. God's peace is one of the benefits of our covenant relationship with Him.

God did not take the cross away from Jesus, but he did take away the fear. Psalm 56:3: “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.”

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Psalm 5:11

Whatever happens in 2021, I know this to be true and I can cling to it. This is not my home, and this life is not all there is. There is an eternity waiting for me. An existence basking in the love of God, praising the Lamb for His sacrifice, and never experiencing pain, grief, illness, or rejection again.

Serenity is a direct result of a relationship with Jesus Christ. No outside situation can tamper with that connection—we partake of Jesus’ abundant life through His Holy Spirit.

Think About. In the quiet moments of a peaceful morning walk. I let my thoughts drift heavenward. My thoughts are filled with You. I think about Your majesty

Jesus taught in the “nasty now-and-now” because he knew disciples with focused faith are never made in the classroom; we’re made in the uncertainty of life as we come face-to-face with “I can’t, but God can.”

Dear Lord, as I obey your will, please give me courage to do what you want me to do. Take away the fear as I walk out your plans for me. Amen.

Prayer & Guidance: Does the maze of life have you in its rushing and running grasp today? Do you need calm in your being and direction in your steps?

“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

God loves you as much as He loves His Son. His love for you is way beyond anything you can imagine. Rest in His presence and let His peace quiet your mind.

When we recognize that all of God’s Providence is filtered through love, we know how to accept and face the adversary which He sends.

If there is anything we don't like to do, it's wait. Maybe that is why God is so interested in us learning to do it!

Discouragement is something we’ve all felt. When life disappoints we often lose the very thing that is meant to ultimately draw us closer to God.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

or the past ten days, I have been contemplating God’s grace to us and how we, in turn, can extend grace to others.
