The Whiskey Sour is a classic cocktail, and a classic American cocktail. Indeed the first mention of which was in Wisconsin in 1870. Very simply made with bourbon, simple syrup and lemon juice mixed and strained over ice, every bartender and spirits enthusiast should have this down. For a more traditional recipe add an egg white. You get the sweet and the sour in perfect balance and it's very refreshing. Bulleit or Maker's works very well.
