Two members of Vancouver's Marine Unit were able to rescue a seagull that was stuck on a post. Just an average day at work on the water!

The RG McBeath was named for a Vancouver Police officer who was killed in the line of duty in 1922. McBeath was only 16 when he left his Scottish village to join the Seaforth Highlanders Regiment. He came to Canada three years later as a decorated war hero and began his short career with the VPD. While attempting to stop a drunk driver, McBeath was shot through the heart.
