Vancouver firefighters say a search has concluded nobody was trapped in the rubble of the old Ridge Theatre on Arbutus Street near 16th Avenue on Wednesday morning

The whole complex at and Arbutus will be torn down. This is the bowling alley, and the Ridge (most notably). That one block is what that neighborhood even exist. Soon another Vancouver theatre will be seeing the wrecking ball as developer Cressy plans to tear down the Ridge Theatre as part of a $60-million redevelopment plan that includes four storey concrete condos (approx. 50 units) and a 22,000 square foot food store.
