Tallies & Graphs: Collecting Class Data This resource will engage students by entering data as to what they are doing on the weekend. Once this has been filled in by each class member students can then create a bar graph reflecting upon the results.

Kindergarten. TEK (8)(A). Before students get to actually record and collect data, we will go over the necessary steps with an anchor chart. This way, students will be able to see what all goes into the process before getting thrown into it. I will circulate this discussion over real object and pictorial graphs due to the grade level.
