A little mixed grill tonight. Lamb spiedini with freshly made tzatziki, spicy black tiger shrimp, lobster tails with lemon chilli butter, portobello mushroom with gorgonzola, all served with an arugula salad, olives, grapes and from the garden, cherry tomatoes and ring of fire peppers. Nice fresh flavours. @zimmysnook
Dinner included these plump, skillet seared, spicy shrimp, finished with lemon zest and cilantro. We also enjoyed salmon papillote with a lemon, dill butter, served alongside rice and a strawberry, goat cheese and toasted almond salad. @zimmysnook
So happy it's Copper River salmon season! Tonight we cedar planked a fillet in grainy mustard, honey and lemon zest. We enjoyed it with a spinach, strawberry, goat cheese and spiced pecans salad as well as long-grain and wild rice with cilantro and green chillies. @zimmysnook
#HappyThanksgiving! Our family dinners are done, so today we are enjoying a simple brunch of lox, cream cheese, capers, dill, onions and dark rye. Dinner tonight felt as though my wife and I were sharing appies & a glass of wine on a restaurant patio. When I picked up the ingredients for tonight's dinner I wasn't aware that I'd be grilling in the Grilled octopus on a fresh (spring-like) orzo salad with lemon, dill, tomatoes, cucumbers and green onions.
